Dubai – Mubasher: The US’ Jacobs Engineering Group has been awarded a contract on the UAE Etihad Rail project.
Under the agreement, the Dallas-headquartered company will provide critical technical and programme consulting services for the freight and passenger railway network – along with engineering and design services, according to the Construction Week.
Our team work “would combine the US engineering giant’s resources with those of the recently acquired, CH2M, to provide ‘fully integrated’ services for the project,” president of buildings, infrastructure, and advanced facilities at Jacobs Bob Pragada commented.
“This includes accessing the best talent across the breadth of our global network, coupled with a strong local presence provided by Jacobs in the UAE,” Pragada added.
Jacobs will also provide construction supervision services for the ambitious project, the Construction Week reported. While the contract's value wasn't disclosed.
