Cairo – Mubasher: The US-based Energy Recovery Inc. has been awarded a $3.3 million contract to supply desalination projects in Egypt with the pressure exchanger technology.
The contract will be signed in the fourth quarter of 2018, the American company said in a statement.
In April, the Egyptian housing minister expected the operation of six desalination plants among of 19 plants currently being built by the end of this year.
Egypt and Kuwait had also signed a second agreement in April to finance the establishment of five desalination stations in south Sinai with $100 million.
