Mubasher: The number of US companies operating in Qatar stands at 658, of which 117 firms are fully owned by US businessmen, Qatari economy and commerce minister Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani said.
US investments in the world's richest country per capita amounted to QAR 26.3 billion ($7.22 billion), he added.
Qatar is always seeking to strengthen its long-standing cooperation ties and partnership with the US through boosting direct investments, joint projects and trade exchange, the minister noted.
On Wednesday 4 April, Miami City will host the Qatar-US Economic Forum with the participation of more than 200 Qatari businessmen and officials and 200 US investors.
In 2015, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), one of the world's largest sovereign funds, has revealed plans to invest around $45 billion in the US over five years, in addition to allocating $10 billion for infrastructure projects in the world's biggest economy.
