Kuwait - Mubasher: Kuwait Airways announced on Sunday that authorities in the United States have lifted the ban on personal electronic devices on board flights bound for America.
This comes after US officials inspected security measures on Kuwait Airways flights, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Kuwait Airways said in a statement that its passengers will be able to carry electronic devices on board all US-bound flights departing from Kuwait International Airport.
"Safety, security and compliance with international safety regulations are always our top priorities at Kuwait Airways," said the chairman of the Kuwaiti airline, Sami Al-Rushaid.
"We are delighted to announce to our passengers that the electronic ban has been lifted on all Kuwait Airways flights departing Kuwait International Airport to the United States," he added.
The decision allows Kuwait Airways to continue to provide services to our passengers flying to the United States, the chairman noted, adding that passengers flying to JFK Airport in New York will be able now to enjoy uninterrupted use of all of their personal electronic devices.
Al-Rushaid also asserted that security measures in place at Kuwait International Airport which were applied on Kuwait Airways flights were fully compliant with international standards.
