US oil inventories fall last week

Mubasher: US oil inventories fell by 1.3 million barrels to reach 488.4 million barrels in the ended 18 November, according to a statement by the Energy Information Administration.

US gasoline inventories increased by 2.7 million barrels in the same week, while heating oil and diesel fuel prices declined by 353,000 barrels.

NYMEX US crude futures slid 0.10% to reach $47.98 per barrel (pb) by 5:23am GMT. In addition, Brent oil for January delivery fell 0.12% or 6 cents to reach $49.05 pb.
