Mubasher: Baker Hughes announced on Friday that the US oil rig count did not rise for the first time in 9 weeks.
Oil rigs now total 406, compared to 269 in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the number of gas rigs fell by 2 to 81, decreasing the total to 489.
