USA’s BOD deficit rises $700m in September

Mubasher: The USA’s Department of Labor announced on Friday that deficit in the balance of trade (BOD) increased in September, despite the growth of exports, registering its highest level in three years.

The BOD’s deficit went up $700 million to reach $43.5 billion in September, the Department of Labor stated.

As for exports, the released data showed that exports in the USA grew $2.1 billion to $196.5 billion in September, which is its highest level since December 2014.

Imports also increased by $2.8 billion to $240.3 billion, the USA’s labor department concluded.
