Cairo – Mubasher: The US dollar (USD) kept rising against the Egyptian pound (EGP) by 1:45pm Cairo time on Sunday at Egypt-based banks.
The X-rate stood at EGP 17.28 per dollar for buying and EGP 17.53-5 per dollar for sale, according to Banque Misr and Banque du Cairo.
The EGP-USD stood at 17 for bids and 17.5-75 for asks, according Credit Agricole, ADIB, Blom Bank, Export Development Bank and Faisal Islamic Bank.
The CIB set EGP 17.25 per dollar for purchase and EGP 17.5 for sale, while the National Bank of Egypt completed EGP-USD transaction 20 piasters higher than the CIB.
