Mubasher: The US dollar gained on Friday, against a basket of major currencies, as the Federal Reserve's highly anticipated rate increase approaches.
The Fed's November minutes showed that money market policy makers were up for another rate hike this year.
The dollar index advanced 0.432% to 99.5 points.
The greenback rose 0.3% against the euro, and added 0.22% and 0.31% against the GBP and Yen, respectively.
