Cairo – Mubasher: The decline of Egypt’s pound (EGP) against the US dollar continued on Wednesday with transactions completed at EGP 18.15-50 per dollar for buying and EGP 18.4-8 per dollar for sale by 12:25pm Cairo time.
The highest rate for bids and asks was offered by SAIB at EGP 18.5 and EGP 18.8 respectively per dollar.
The EGP-USD pair was traded at EGP 18.15 for bids and EGP 18.4-7 for asks, according to the National Bank of Egypt, CIB, Banque du Caire, and Banque Misr.
The average rate set by the bank of Egypt on 13 December was EGP 18.49 a dollar for sale and EGP 18.10 a dollar for purchase.
