Union of Arab Chambers eyes raising Sino-Arab trade to $600m

Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Arab countries and China amounted to $244 billion at the end of 2017, compared to $37 billion in 2006, Ahram Gate reported on Wednesday, citing the secretary general of the Union of Arab Chambers (UAC), Khaled Hanafi, as saying.

There is an ambitious plan to increase the value of trade exchange between the two sides to $600 billion in the coming years, he revealed on the sidelines of the third China-Arab economic summit held in Ningxia.

Hanafi called on Chinese companies to further cooperate with Arab countries through fostering investments particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and three dimensional  (3D) printing technologies.
