Units in New Administrative Capital allocated for Egyptians abroad - Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: Mostafa Madbouli, Egypt’s minister of housing, on Tuesday agreed on a package of new services for Egyptians living abroad with the minister of emigration and Egyptian expatriates affairs, according to a statement.

A proportion of the units will be allocated for Egyptians abroad in the first residential district in the New Administrative Capital, Madbouli said.

An office will be specialised in serving citizens in new cities to finalise the services for Egyptians abroad, especially those who reserved in the Beit Al-Watan project, he added.

In October 2016, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that Egypt was aiming to complete the first phase of the New Administrative Capital in 2018, while all phases shall be completed within five to six years.

During the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) held in March 2015, Egypt had previously announced the establishment of the New Administrative Capital at a cost of EGP 45 billion to be paid within five to seven years.
