Mubasher: Bahrain’s major telecom company, VIVA Bahrain, has launched a home broadband 5G network through new add-on plans and 5G-enabled devices.
The new service offers internet speeds up to 1 Gbps, promising VIVA’s customers an enhanced internet experience, according to a company statement.
"The start of our 5G commercial journey is a milestone for us towards this direction as we pave the way for future connectivity and add it to the Kingdom’s leading 4G network,” CEO of VIVA Nezar Banabeela commented.
VIVA Bahrain’s customers can subscribe to the 5G network as an add-on on their home broadband package and activate the network with an indoor or outdoor routers.
The kingdom’s telecom company also offers its customers access to the IoT-enabled smart applications including virtual reality, augmented reality, robotics, and cloud-gaming.
“We are really excited to embark on this new digital journey that holds incredible potential and ability to connect everything and enhance our customers’ lives with new experiences never imagined before,” Banabeela said.
