Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE investment firm Noor Capital has bought 3 tonnes of the gold from Venezuelan central bank.
Caracas’ incumbent president Nicolas Maduro is attempting to fund the country’s needs amid a devastating economic crisis.
The Emirati company stated that it would hold purchases of gold from Venezuela, Reuters reported.
Venezuela will sell more 15 tonnes of gold to the UAE within days.
“Two high-level Venezuelan central bank officials were made to resign on Thursday and Friday because they did not want to authorize the sale of gold,” the international news agency said, citing informed sources.
