Mubasher: Kuwait Telecommunication Co (Viva) reported a growth of 9.8% in profits during the fourth quarter of 2017 compared to the same period last year.
Earnings increased to KWD 11.8 million ($39.4 million) in Q4-17 from KWD 10.8 million ($36.1 million) in Q4-16, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.
During fiscal year 2017, Viva’s profits slightly rose by 1% to KWD 40.09 million compared to KWD 39.81 million in FY16.
The board members recommended a cash dividend of 30% for FY17 or 30 fils per share.
The maturity date for the registered shareholders will be on 15 February, while the distribution date will be on 22 February.
At the stock level, Viva closed Thursday’s session 0.63% lower at 785 fils.
