Viva stock falls below STC’s takeover price

Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait Telecommunication (Viva) declined by 1% to settle at 990 fils, as Tuesday’s trading session began.

The stock price came lower than the one Kuwaiti dinar bid proposed by Saudi Telecom (STC) to take over Viva.

At open, the stock witnessed a turnover of about KWD 638,000 after nearly 644,000 shares were traded through 53 transactions; all were sale deals, and no buy orders were placed on the stock.

This performance followed a regulatory approval given to STC to acquire Viva.
