Kuwait-Mubasher: Kuwait Telecommunication (Viva) fell by 3.6% to reach KWD 1.060, during Thursday’s trading session.
This decline followed the announcement made by the Competition Protection Authority, in which Viva was requested to provide full details on its market share in the Kuwaiti telecom sector.
Reports have said that this request may affect STC’s deal, if the share accounts for 35% or above of its relevant market; as Viva would be in the monopoly zone, which will blight the takeover prospects.
About 513,000 shares were exchanged through 98 transactions of which 12 only were purchase orders.
