Cairo – Mubasher: Vodafone Egypt and Etisalat have officially signed an agreement with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to acquire fourth-generation (4G) mobile phone service licenses in Egypt yesterday, an official at the telecom regulator told Mubasher on Sunday.
The official did not reveal the agreement value, but Vodafone Egypt will hold a press conference to announce the agreement details.
Earlier, Orange Egypt had signed an agreement with the telecom regulator to acquire the license at $495 million.
