Vodafone Egypt revenues hit EGP 5.2bn in 3M

Cairo – Mubasher: London-based Vodafone Group Plc said that it has generated a total revenue of EGP 5.2 billion (EUR 249 million) from its Egyptian unit, Vodafone Egypt, in the three-month period ended June.

The number of subscribers in Vodafone Egypt stood at 41.4 million at the end of June, compared to 42.3 million subscribers at the end of March, the British telecom firm added in a statement.

The parent company’s revenues amounted to EUR 10.9 billion at the end of June, according to the statement.

It is worth noting that Vodafone Group’s fiscal year starts early March of each year.

Vodafone Egypt had achieved over EGP 4.9 billion in revenue during the first quarter of 2018.

The Egyptian unit’s CEO Alexandre Froment Curtil previously said that Vodafone Group had invested up to EGP 10 billion in the Egyptian market over the past three years.
