Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a negative performance in Thursday’s early trades, amid the wave of declines that hit leading stocks led by Emaar Properties and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), in addition to Arabtec Holding and Emirates NBD.
The main gauge fell 1.78% or 51.87 points to reach 2,869.83 points.
The real estate sector declined 2.43% after Emaar and Arabtec retreated 2.67% and 3.15% in a row.
The banks sector levelled down 1.56%, weighed by DIB and Emirates NBD which slid 1.25% and 2.58%, respectively.
The investment sector lost 2.41% as Dubai Investments and DFM Company sank 2.63% and 1.79% in a row.
The telecom sector decreased 0.6% after du fell 0.6% to AED 5.06.
On the flipside, the industrial and consumer staples sectors remained unchanged.
Turnover reached AED 66.82 million after 56.4 million shares were traded through 940 transactions.
