Mubasher: The World Bank (WB) expected the Kuwaiti economy to shrink by 0.1% in 2017, according to a recent report.
Kuwait’s economy is forecast to grow by 1.9% in 2018, while in 2019 and 2020, the economy is likely to increase by 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Kuwait is projected to be the only country in the GCC and the Arab region where economy will shrink in 2017, the World Bank’s report added.
Emerging and developing countries’ economy is expected to decline in the next decade.
Restructuring amendments should be implemented to minimize this decline in the future.
