Mubasher: Mobile Telecommunications (ZAIN) reported a 13% year-on-year profit increase during the first six months of 2019, recording KWD 97 million ($321 million).
Consolidated revenue jumped 61% to KWD 811 million in H1-19 versus KWD 503 million in the year-ago period, according to a statement released on Wednesday.
Zain’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) soared 108% year-on-year to KWD 177 million during the second quarter of 2019.
Meanwhile, net profit grew by 10% year-on-year to KWD 50 million in Q2-19.
ZAIN reported a 111% year-on-year increase in EBITDA during the first quarter of 2019, recording KWD 178 million ($586 million).
