Mubasher: Mobile Telecommunications (Zain) confirmed its positive outlook regarding the decision to lift the majority of the economic and commercial sanctions on Sudan, according to a bourse statement issued on Tuesday.
This outlook is expected due to the gradual impact on the Sudanese economy, namely the merger with the global economy, Zain noted.
Such new developments will have positive effects on the financial, commercial, and industrial sectors, including the telecom segment in Sudan.
Zain clarified that its outlook for the economy in Sudan cannot include in the current time the company’s business. It added that it will disclose any essential developments in that matter once arise.
It is worth highlighting that Zain owns an affiliate that is considered the largest among the telecom companies in Sudan, with annual profits approaching $90 million.
