Kuwait-Mubasher: Mobile Telecommunications (Zain) said its appeal against the undersecretary of Kuwait’s transportation ministry, which sued the telco for the knowledge of its subscribers’ number, has been successful.
The court has turned down an earlier judgment favouring the ministry that sued the mobile operator to provide the number of its subscribers as of 2008, Zain said in a filing on Thursday.
Moreover, the court has declined the undersecretary’s appeal to exempt him from paying the legal expenses and remunerations.
Another claim lodged by Zain against the undersecretary of the Kuwaiti finance ministry has been rejected by the court of first instance by an appealable ruling, an earlier announcement revealed. The court also obliged the operator to pay KWD 64,728 as part of a sub-case.
