Cairo – Mubasher: Some of the gas produced at Egypt's Zohr gas field could be supplied to Europe, CEO of Russia’s Rosneft Igor Sechin told Reuters.
On 9 October, the Russian oil company purchased 30% of the Italian Eni’s stake at Zohr field at a value of $1.125 billion.
Eni’s CEO Claudio Descalzi had previously said that the company plans to cut its stake in Zohr to 50%.
Descalzi also stressed that gas should be produced at the Egyptian field by the end of 2017.
