Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), a fully licensed telecom operator in the UAE and the owner of du, officially launched its second brand Virgin Mobile in the UAE on Tuesday, according to a statement.
The new brand supports EITC's strategic vision of becoming a digital transformation partner and an ICT solutions provider to meet the growing requirements of the fast-paced and dynamic UAE.
du reported a rise of 0.3% in profits to AED 446.57 million ($121.55 million) in the second quarter of 2017 from AED 445.44 million ($121.24 million) in the same period of 2016.
During the first six months of 2017, the telecom operator posted a decline of 12.3% in net profits to AED 811.51 million from AED 925.52 million in the same period a year ago.
