Mr Alsuwaidi's illustrious career has included leadership roles at Qatar Petroleum (QP), Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO), and a longstanding tenure as Vice Chairman and CEO of Qatargas. During his tenure at Qatargas, Mr Alsuwaidi oversaw the construction and realization of Qatargas LNG trains 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, as well as the Laffan Refinery. The LNG trains are the largest in the world, while Laffan is also the largest condensate refinery in the world. During this period, Mr Alsuwaidi also oversaw the construction of the largest LNG carrier fleet in the world, which consisted of 56 ships. Mr Alsuwaidi has a degree in business management from Merton Technical College at Wimbledon in the United Kingdom. |
